Piasau Post - Issue 115
7th DEcember 2007

Dear Parents,

As we hurtle towards the end of the school term we will take this opportunity to keep you up to date with events in and around school.

First of all we have the December Performance. Your invite tickets are attached. This should be a great fun, family event. The price we pay for keeping the event as a whole school production is the need to restrict the numbers of people able to watch the children. Please try to support us on this. After the performance the PTA will be putting on quick refreshments for all. We all look forward to seeing you there.
Past experience has shown us that the children are extremely tired on the day after the performance. Consequently school will not start until 9.15 am on Thursday 13th December.

The latest news on the school extension is that it will be completed after the Chinese New Year. At this point in time we are not too sure as to how soon after!

The after school clubs start again this Tuesday  - however, please note that there will be no clubs on the following Tuesday in order to accommodate the parents’ evening mentioned above. The clubs then continue through until 4th December 2007.

This term’s country in focus for our cultural module is Australia. If you have any artifacts or if you would like to get involved please contact either Mr. Stuart or Miss Dawn who will be only too glad to hear from you.

I end this Piasau Post newsletter with a mixture of both sad and good news. At the end of the term Mr. Mark will be returning to New Zealand – the reason being that he will be getting married early in the new year and setting his home up in his native country – we all wish him well. Mr. Mark’s class will be taken by Miss Pip – who is no stranger to the school and who is already working with the P6 class. We are confident that the transition between the two teachers will be very smooth.

As always, if you have any thought or concerns regarding your child’s education please do not hesitate to contact the school.
