The New Extension Building
Yes – we are finally in. And it looks great. You’re welcome to come and have a look around at anytime during the school day. The centrepiece of the extension, the school library, will be open during the holidays for the children to use.

Leavers.
This is always a sad time of the year when we all say goodbye to many of our friends. This year there are so many goodbyes to say. I’d like to thank the four teachers that are leaving; their passion, commitment and knowledge of learning will have impacted on your children’s lives in such a positive way. Good luck for the future Dawn (in Moscow), Claire (in Oman), Frank (in Johor Bahru), and Sheila (in retirement!).
We also have another 50 pupils leaving us on Friday. Parents of the leavers are invited to our Farewell Assembly this Friday starting at 8.45am. It will be sad to say goodbye – but there are so many fond memories and new places to look forward to.

Reopening
The school opens on Monday 1st September. Please note that SSB is closed on this day due to the National Holiday on the Sunday. For a full run down on the holiday dates please check out the school’s website; wwwpiasauschool.com

For over nine years I have had the privilege of working at Piasau School where I have been able to support the development of so many children, meet so many families from so many parts of the world and work alongside many fantastic colleagues. A huge 'thank you' to all for helping make the ‘Miri Experience’ such a special one. The Open Door Policy for me will close this Friday as I lock the gates and handover the keys to Yvette – good luck to all that enter through the doors of such a wonderful school when they are thrown wide open again in September.
