Book Week 2008 started off with a visit from the 'story teller'. In our whole-school assembly he tested the story telling skills of some of the teachers. Luckily they all passed the test.
During Book Week, the children visited other classrooms to listen to a story about Mythical Creatures or Fantasy Lands. All classroom doors were decorated and showed clues about the characters or the setting of the story. The children received a stamp to stick into their Book Week passport, as a reminder of the story they listened to.
The week ended with the big Book Week parade. Children, teachers and parents (many wearing great costumes) gathered at the hall, where they were greeted by the story teller. At the end of the day, children could buy and sell books at the Book Week Sale!
